Underneath The Staircase

About Me

Underneath the staircase has been my place of thought since I was a little girl, somewhere to sit by myself and process my thoughts. As I have got older I have found writing my thoughts a lot more therapeutic, when I write a weight gets lifted off my shoulders. One thing that hasn't changed, whilst I write andspill out thoughts and feelings I still sit underneath the staircase.

Aella

This is my daughter, she is very mischievous and you will more often than not, find her with something she shouldn't have or doing something she shouldn't be doing.

Her favourite place is in the garden and loves going on the swing at the park. If you don't pay her attentions when she wants it, you will know about it!

Aella loves to sing and dance as well as climb up and along everything.

Simone

I am the writer of Underneath The Staircase. I am 24 years old and a stay at home mother. I love photography, baking, writing and being creative although most of my time is spent chasing after my daughter Aella.

I am not a shy person but walking into a room full of people I don't know, answering the phone to a number I don't recognise or visiting somewhere new is difficult for me. I suffer from anxiety so smallest things most people wouldn't worry about, I do worry about, I will over analyse and over think and create a problem that isn't there but to me it's there and it's very real.

Writing a blog gives me my a little voice that is often hidden, whilst also keeping track of great family memories.

Dan

This is my partner, the one that never gives up (unless it's washing up, he always gives up on that!)

Behind the stupid comments and stubbornness there is a really lovely man. Someone that pulls me out of a bad mood, listens when I've had a bad day and is so supportive of anything I choose to do.

When I first met Dan he told me he was a minimalist, then I found his collection of 1500 DVDs that we still have to keep despite having Netflix
